How do I get the most out of TRUE in my marketing?

Updated 2026-10-15

Every document you issue becomes its own page on the web, with your name and your logo. When the recipient shares their document, your brand is seen where their contacts are. Here is how to get the most out of it.

Tell your recipients the document is coming

The organisations that get the most shares are the ones that talk about their certificates. Mention the document when the course starts and when it ends. Say that it is safer and easier to share than an ordinary certificate, and that sharing it opens doors to new contacts in their field.

If you have a share kit from us, it is on the help centre's front page under Communicating about your secure documents: a ready post and images with your own document.

Write a blog post for your recipients

Write a post on your blog or news page that explains to your recipients how best to show off their document: how to add it to LinkedIn, share it and show it in their CV. Then you have something to point to when you talk about the documents, and the post brings more visitors to your website.

We are happy to help you write the post. Contact support and we will put together a draft with you.

How other customers do it

Several customers have their own page that tells participants about their digital documents. Let them inspire you.

Turn on the Encourage Email

The Encourage Email is an email that encourages your recipients to share their document, for example on LinkedIn. It goes out automatically one day after the document was sent, and each recipient gets it once.

Why it pays off: many recipients open their document but never think of sharing it. The reminder arrives while the document is still new and the recipient is proud of it. Every share shows your name and your logo to the recipient's contacts and brings new visitors to you. The more people share, the more people see you, without you having to do anything more.

How to turn it on: go to Home in the Dashboard, scroll down to the brand awareness section and click Send Emails to Recipients. There you see the email before it goes out. Click Ready, Set, Get More Shares! and it is sent to every new recipient from today. If you also want those who already have their document to get the email, turn on Send emails retroactively first.

You can change the text of the email under Email Templates, so that it sounds like you. You can see how many people share on Home, under Insights / Statistics Summary.

Like, comment and share

When a recipient posts their document on LinkedIn: like, comment on and share the post, from your company page or your own account. It makes the recipient happy, gives the post more views and shows that you care about your recipients.

Connect your LinkedIn page

Under General Settings → SEO & Social Media, fill in Linkedin organization ID. Then your LinkedIn page is shown as the issuer when the recipient adds the document to their profile. You find the ID in the address bar of your company page, after linkedin.com/company/.

This is how it looks on the recipient's LinkedIn profile, with your logo and your name as the issuer:

Link back to your website

Add a link to your website on the document page, under Settings → Web Templates → Document page. Every document is unique and is found by Google, so the links build value for your website with every document you send.

Use your own domain and your own sender

Publish the documents under your own website and send the emails from your own address. Then the recipients recognise you, click with more confidence, and the emails end up in spam less often. See the guides How to setup domain and How to edit email templates.

Show your courses in TRUE Upskill

If you issue course certificates, your courses can be shown in TRUE Upskill, a catalogue where only training providers that issue verified certificates through TRUE may take part. It is free and optional, and enquiries from the course pages go straight to you. You control it under General Settings, the Upskill tab.

Follow the results

On Home in the Dashboard, under Insights / Statistics Summary, you see how many documents you have issued, how many people have visited them, what share of them have been shared and where most visits come from. See what increases the shares and do more of it.

Do a joint PR effort with us

Would you like to tell trade media about your documents? We have done it together with customers in, among others, Dagens Industri and Sak & Liv. Contact [email protected] and we will take it from there.
